Just bought this last night with no knowledge of if the effect would actually kick in for PLD/WAR.

I had examined the names of all the new BCNM30 earrings, and came to the conclusion that most likely Mercenary was for WAR and Esquire was for PLD. I had also heard from an outside source that the Magician's earring for some reason, only worked for a SMN subbed... Hmm... wonder if all these BCNM30 earrings follow the "Latent effect condition of subjob"

So, I dropped 40k on it and /goodbye Drone Earring!

Can't be happier :)

I also switched to PLD/RDM and the earring lost its effect. I then switched to WAR/RDM (38 WAR) and it still had no effect.

I informed a couple LS members about my confirming that this earring did indeed have vit+2 based solely on the WAR subjob...

AH sold out in 15 minutes ;)

The latent effect conditions for the lvl30 earrings (and belts, I assume) are having that particular earring's corresponding subjob.

i.e., up til now all equipment latent effect conditions were yellow hp & under 100% tp, but these new items have different conditions.

100% hp and war sub and you get the +2 vit. I found this out and jumped on it, it is true, thank you SE!!! If only it wasn't rare so I could equip 2 ;;.

Actually, they are rare ..but not ex.
So go and definately buy one if you want it from the AH.

I plunked 50k on them because I couldn't get the early bird specials. They were 20k last week :(

Or, you can just do BCNM30 and get them for almost free :biggrin:

They are rare.....so you can buy just one. I got mine for 50k early on, its up to 120k on my server already. Some of the earrings (like the +30 mana ones) went from 10k to 300k in a matter of days. I need to find some info on BCNM 30 ^^

Ur so lucky you got it for 20k.. The first one on Midgard sold for 10k but when I got mine yesterday... I got it for 290k ><; I'm gonna do a couple of BC30's and hopefully get a Magician's Earring. That one is going for around 900k-1000k on my server. Get my money back. Hope I get lucky. And the nicest thing is, BC30 can only be done with 3 ppl. So if I get lucky and Magician's Earring droped, I only have to divide it with 2 other ppl.

theres no way I'd pay 290k for VIT +2, I checked them at the AH and they are only at 50k on my server but they are sold out atm. Im saving for gluttony sword so i probably wont get anything till I get that bastard.

That's about the same price it is on Carbuncle. It's Price History stopped at 55k, and there's one left. Went to 59k and still couldn't buy it. I'll buy it next time.
