A dead guy who doesn't want to be raised?

It happened in Carbuncle, with my Mithra thief Aaiyno. As I left for West Ronfaure, as soon as I get outside... to my dismay an Elvaan is found dead. I tell him not to worry and that I will ask for a raise. I gave the position he was lying dead at, and a WHM came in a few seconds. However... when she casted Raise... NO EFFECT?! So now other WHMs are trying to raise this guy and it's not working. He was selling goods though... perhaps maybe he died as a publicity stunt to increase his sales? I don't know why we couldn't raise him, but maybe you do?

No effect means someone had already casted raise on him previously.

I wouldn't have known if somebody casted Raise on the guy, I wasn't around his time of actual death. Still, it's not everyday you see a dead guy outside West Ronfaure, just near the San D'Oria Gates.

It could also mean he

a) had reraise on
b) had a tractor effect casted
c) had a BETTER Raise on (II or III)
d) fell asleep and died horrendously on the battlefield

Fell asleep on the boat, when i woke up i was back in Selbina. Somehow i took a picture of me while i was sleeping only to see my corpse on the dock in muhara :o

Tons of /t from all the high level mages fishing saying (Raise)? and other things like that. But i was asleep so no raise for me.
More sleep needed ;)
