Hey, I'm Rudo. I need your guys help, these are my jobs:

Warrior-19

Monk-9

White Mage-6

Black Mage-8

Okay, first I was a warrior, I leveled it, and just loved it, then I tried monk.
I decided that I was going to use monk as my warrior subjob.

After I tried mages and REALLY enjoyed them I like nuking and healing, but I like slaying and beating the crap out of stuff.
(Look at my levels, and help me out)

My two options are Warrior/Monk, or White Mage/Black mage.......

Which would you reccomend? Look at my levels, and help me out please.....

Thanks in advance!! :)

I see, Umm If you really like being in the front lines be a MNK THF or WAR. If u want to be in the bak be a mage.

You like being on the front lines and you like healing. If you also like tanking, then paladin would be the class for you. You cant do major healing, not even backup healing, but you can heal yourself, and in an emergency, heal others (Which helps regain hate, anyway). If you are a paladin, you will most likely be the tank your whole career, unless there is a better paladin in your party (which is rare, im lvl 30 and its only happened once). You acnt really dish out too much damage, but you will at least be on teh front lines, fighting.
The only downside is you have to wait until you are level 30 to get the job. I suggest using your warrior until level 30 (with wahtever sub you want. I suggest getting thf up to lvl 15, taht way if you need to farm, you can farm more efficiently) and then use paladin as your main job. You wont have to level your subjob again until you hit level 60, sinec you already have your warrior up to level 30 by the tiem you get to be a paladin.
Paladin is a great job, and its a lot of fun. I suggest looking into it.

I'm going to go with Whm/Blm, but I want to be a dragoon in the future, will that screw anything up??

I couldnt make a decision on my jobs either:

I started leveling a WHM, which I liked alot. At 18 I needed to level a sub, which was a BLM, which I felt to be more fun then WHM. For kicks I also leveled a THF with a WAR sub, both are even more fun.... The only job that can't suit my taste is the MNK.

I also plan to unlock SMN, RNG, NIN and DRG...

So why not level all your jobs simultaneously like I am doing? I can guarantee you that you have the most fun you'll ever have ;)

Its hard to decide which job you well be playing your whole career, look at my sig, all the jobs Ive lvled up and I cant find my favourite one yet :D So Im just trying them all.
Im currently playing Paladin atm since I love tanking, only 10 atm but I plan on sticking with it for awhile.

You might also want to consider a Drk?
You got very powerful Melee attacks and some Blm spells to use, they wont be there for your main way of attacking but you well have some :D

Actually, I am deciding to stick with my warrior and then I want to get Chocobo (1 level away, and then, I'm going for Dragoon.

My polearm is maxed at my level to 57. Level 19.

Yeah, I also wanted to get Dark Knight, for my sub when I am a Dragoon!

im just like u, i got a warrior to 19, but when i got my sub jod, i did not know what to pick, so i tried em all, and i really enjoy using magic, but i also love to be in the thick of things with sword and armor. the result, totally leaving behind the war, and going with a Red Mage , as they can use magic and do the melee thing fairly well, with Whm sub, its a blast!

another thing to think about is the viability of jobs as you level up. healing as a whm is fun early on because you have a bunch of boneheads on your pt that can't hold aggro, therefore making you actually think about where and when to put on the heals. once you get regen, the problem starts to diminish, and by the time you have pts where the nin or pld holds onto aggro at all times, you might as well go read a newspaper (though you should heal once in a while to pretend as if you were paying attention). That, and there's a crapload of whms as you level higher.

blms are incredible nukers early on, but in the mid levels their identity as a nuker sorta diminishes as tricksneak vipers do 1.5times the damage of their -ga MBs in certain lv ranges. For a while they'll have to bite the bullet and be a curetank, or something like that. I think.

rdms refresh.

brds ballad, and madrigal. both rdms and brds get invites, rdms have some other stuff to do (and they're useful solo) so it might be more worth doing, but there's also a lot more of them compared to brds. brds will get uber invites, but are useless POS's solo. i think i killed a 15exp mob solo once @ lv48 that took about 15mins to complete.

drgs' damage depend a lot on their pet dragon, which has a tendency to die. pentaspam's also been nerfed, which is probably a good thing since it gave out so much TP, but is also a bad thing in that it killed their farming ability (which doesn't hurt me much since my DRG's 1). i guess they're good at killing mandras and bats; cursed sphere will own the pet dragon, as will most other AoE WS's.

mnks kill skeletons. other than that they give oodles of TP to mobs, making them not liked as much. you can still exp plenty fine but that'll depend on you starting as a leader. supposedly they start getting popular in the 60's when they get dragon kick to allow for lv3 chains.

WARs shieldbreak. people will kick your ass if you havent leveled greataxe, and they'll steal your money if you tell them you only have spear. your pt's mages will make voodoo dolls to stick nails onto if you don't voke enough.

SAM's real name is samuel (samantha if you're a girl).

SMNs cure.

PLDs are tanks that cure. if you ever get invited into a JP party as a pld, make sure you switch to 2hs and SJ thf before you join up with the rest of the pt; once you do, after a ptm says something tell them "muriwww SJ thf only wwwwww" and see how long it takes for them to kick you.

THFs open coffers in oztroja, raising aggro vs the brds and rdms.

BSTs train mobs to unsuspecting pt's, or at least, any pt will think it was the bst regardless. At any level range you'll be able to put up /inv, go to school or work, go get drunk, come home and find out you havent gotten a single invite -- which doesn't matter cause all you do is solo anyway.

RNGs are a job that Square thought up to extract gil from the entire community. at higher levels you'll get a jobtrait where your total funds are rasped at all times.

NINs also have rasp on their cash funds.

everyone in your neighborhood's LFG as a DRK. Half of them are shouting in qufim. another quarter are shouting in jeuno. the rest havent learned how to shout yet.

Man, I think i was trying to be helpful in the post initially... oh well.
