Gilfinder and Treasure Hunter

I've been neglecting THF for long enough and my recent farming binges have forced me to level this class, since I also want to be subbing it for SAM when I reach level 60. Anyway, two questions so far.

1. How much gil does gilfinder increase by? If it's by level, is it based on the main or THF level?

2. Does Treasure Hunter I affect Rare/EX drops? I've heard varied reports, but none have any real ground to them.

1. It doubles the ammount of gil dropped.

2. Many people think so, some dont, I personally think it does.
