I have yet to do Ballista yet, and I'm wondering how BLM fare in it. I keep hearing about rng and other melee sweeping away mages in one or two shots, so that gets me a bit worried. ^^; Although I hear Bind + Stun are very cheap, and that Blink is a must. ^^;;

Is anyone out there that has done this and has any advice? Like what works and what doesnt.. I was thinking about running around invisible and -ga people. Then again I get alot of crazy schemes that never work. ^^;;;;;

BLMs kick some serious ass in Ballista. I played my friends BLM at his house the other day (lvl 61 BLM).... and OMG they rock!

I was able to bind someone... sleep them... then nuke them silly!

I was also teamed up with another BLM who had my back... what we did was cast every possible enfeeble spell we had... then just sat back... and killed them.

So fun! Almost easy... but the cool thing about Ballista is... you never know who is there! I saw a lvl 43 SMN with all the summons! That little taru was tearing through everyone!

Heh..I killed about 8 to 10 people in my first and only game of ballista. The only time I ever died(about 4 times) was when someone ganged up on me, or caught me without MP -_-, I can't wait to lvl up my SMN and tear everyone a new one...Imagine a SMN using their 2hour and an Avatars 2hour AOE :drool:

Heh I killed 9 people and died once on my first match. Player resistances are virtually non-existant so Bind and Sleep will almost never fail.

Would you guys say Sleepga2 is needed, or would Sleepga1 work as fine? The problem with some of these spells is that they have a bit of recast. x.X

Hmm.. I'm thinking of going now with a few other BLM. I can imagine Sleepga + two or three -ga's at the same time being pretty fun to do. o.o!

But what about defensive magic? How useful are Blink and Invisible? Is Invisible useful while resting?

Sleepga is nice to have, but not needed by any means.

I always keep stoneskin and blink up just incase i come across a rng or a melee sneeks up.

As for when your healing.. suprisingly (at least in Rag) people wont attack you heal, cuse thats just cheap.

BLM IMHO > ALL with a decent PT you can seriously own anything and everything. Black Cloak + Refesh + Ballad1/2 = Never need rest.

Bind + Silence + Sleep + Nuke = no contest.

Only prob is when you run into a smart RND that has sleep/silence arrows.
