ok i have 2 questions here
first at what skill lvl do you get your second weapon skill (im 30 in both sword and axe and havent recieved a second skill for either)
second i am a WAR and i use an axe for my main weapon but i use a crossbow for ranged stuff and after i got the marksman skill to 10 i got the hotshot skill, but i cant use it, i have looked in my skills and all but it doesnt have it as one of them but when i got the skill to 10 it said i have it. Im not sure what happened here but can someone tell me what to do
if anyone knows some info on either of these things could you please post what you know. Thank you.

first of all, r u sure that ur Sword skill is 30 or more? at skill lvl 30, u'll learn Burning Blade. obviously, u won't get it at 29. double check ur skill. also, for Axe, it's 40 when learn the next one.

as for the ranged weapons' WS', all of them r either EX or SP of RNG. meaning, in order to use Hotshot, u have to either sub RNG or be a main RNG.

terminology;

EX WS: u have to either sub or be a main of the class that's capable of using EX WS' for each weapon types.

SP WS: ur main job has to be the one that's capable of using SP WS' for each weapon types.

SP and EX classes for each weapon types;

H2H: SP - MNK EX - MNK
Dagger: SP - THF EX - THF, RDM, BRD, RNG, NIN
Sword: SP - PLD EX - PLD, WAR, DRK
Great Sword: SP - PLD, DRK EX - PLD, DRK, WAR
Axe: SP - WAR, BST EX - WAR, BST, DRK
Great Axe: SP - WAR EX - WAR, DRK
Polearm: SP - DRG EX - DRG, WAR, PLD
Scythe: SP - DRK EX - DRK, WAR
Katana: SP - NIN EX - NIN
Great Katana: SP - SAM EX - SAM
Club: SP - WHM EX - WHM, WAR, PLD, DRK, SAM
Staff: SP - N/A EX - WAR, MNK, WHM, PLD
Archery & Marksmanship: SP - RNG EX - RNG

If i am not mistaken, Bow Skills can only be used as ranger or ranger sub....

As to the other... 1hand sword get weaponskill @30. Burning Blade. If you havn't received it... hmmm are you sure your skill is @30?

EDIT ahhh got beat to the punch. His answer was much more detailed than mine :thumbsup:
