How do you open the moongate in Ro'Meave?

I remember passing the 2 different Moongates when I was doing Bastok mission so I know where to find the gates, just no idea how to open them.


We are nearing the point for a new hunting spot and Arcana mobs sound good.

My set party has a DRG in it so bone mobs are out of the question :|

I have never heard about opening the moongate and all the pickup parties always go to Kuftal, which really sucks. Silence/Paralyze and darkness chain really blows which is beyong frustrating. I can't find any guides about opening the gate either.

Also, I'm wondering if a 71 DRG/DRK/PLD will be good at Ro'Meave? I know Awntawns guide says 72, but I don't know where else to hunt at this level. Darters getting low, Lizards in Rancor are kinda low also.

yes, lvl 71 will be fine for ro'meave.

you need the key item to pass through the moongate in ro'meave.

if memory serves me correctly, this key is dropped from a NM (please don't quote me on this)


Also, alexor, I believe there is someone named Midou in your LS? (~64DRK)

He told me when I was lvl 48 or so, that when I was 60 to talk to the leader of your LS about obtaining a pearl?

If possible, would you please tell me who I should speak to about obtaining a linkpearl for JobbersInc?

To get in moongate its needs to be full moon, the doors open around 22:00 at night if i remember. Run in and touch a ??? then you get the pass, its just a pain in the ass to get(its totally random and it keeps moving). Bring sneak oils.

I actually did this about 30 minutes ago. The gates open between 00:00 and 03:00 game time only during full moons, the ??? can spawn at either one and are up after the gate closes. Went solo and died behind a gate looking for the ??? point to a Darksteel Golem (hit me for 270-318..ugly). Came back with a friend, we each took a side. He got a ??? in one of the rooms around the top, then it spawned on my side...next to a golem on the floor. Wierd the golems agro as I haven't experienced agro golems elsewhere, need prism powders if you wanna go past them. Warp scroll recommended too. At least if you go with a friend you won't risk being stuck on 1 side while the other side has the ??? up.

OK... If I understand you correctly, first I must wait for a full moon before the gate opens. After it opens I run in and wait for it to close. Then the ??? will spawn somewhere behind one of the two moongates and I need to go search for it, after I get the key from the ??? I can open the gate anytime I want?


If I get a key, can I let other people in or does everyone need a key?

Only one person in your PT needs a pass, when the person touches moongate the doors open and everyone can run in. Also i suggest not going there if there are many PTs there are really only 2 safe areas in there...

I would say, just go in with a PT which wants to level there, chances are at least one person has the key.

After PT ends, let them know you wish to stay behind to look for the ???.

Using Silent Oils, just run around the area and spam tab key, trying to detect the ???. you can detect ???'s on the lower level as well, and when u do, just follow the target arrow until you find the exact location, examine the ??? and you get your key item, the moongate pass.
