Thief Sub job help

Now I won't be needing a sub job anytime soon because I'm gonna level thief for awhile but I was planning on ranger...even though arrows are a lot of gil...people keep telling me ninja but that is sooo common...what do you guys think?

/RNG would be ok for pulling but other then that it wouldnt be a great sub /NINJA has it perks, dual wield, utsusemi if hate gets onto you, debuffs if you use em.
/WARRIOR would be my personal favorite for the extra damage and double attack, Berserk, Etc. :thumbsup:

NIN is common for a reason; duel-wield.

More hits = More TP = More DMG

But, come on. The ability to throw flashy Kanji at the mob is too cool to pass up.

at uber high lvs, I was actually thinking of subbing rng simply cause I would get the culvarian gun and cannon shells at lv 73

Raising marksmenship with thieves is too much trouble cause lack of crossbows. Lving rng would make that easier and give me gun based weapon skills and barrage. And dang it, that gun is just way too cool to pass up. I don't know if I'll ever get thf that high though.

Been in a few too many pt's where 1/2 the exp time I was trying to tell ppl what a trick attack sneak attack did and not having a whole lot of fun. Probably getting it to 45 -50 and stopping.

yea see my buddies recommended thief so i can eventually group with them so i wont have troubble telling them what it is...:)...they tell me

ok now i understand sub job and then a advanced class...ranger being a advanced class...im totally confused on what to pick for my sub job now at level 18..

just do mnk or war. they're BY FAR the best subjobs for thief if you haven't opened advanced jobs yet.

if you're rich enough to buy wax sword +1, leveling warrior to 5 took me 5 minutes, and i didnt' even have to rest a single time.

mnk would also be just fine, and it is very easy to solo to 15 on worms.

those are the two best choices you've got.
