NM hakutaku in rancors den. (as far as I read) needs 12 75s or 18 70s. good luck with that.

First you have to go around other locations killing the eyes monsters there to get their items to drop, then you bring them all to rancor and trade it to get hakutaku to pop. I had info but I lost it when I lost interest in the hat D;

Pretty much. But after you get the 5 eyes you have to have them combined into a cluster (80+ alchemy), then you trade it to the ???, kill Hakutaku, and he *might* drop the hat.

Anyways.. the Hakutaku is a Hecteyes NM (looks like Gazers in Eldieme, or Argus).

It's really not that hard, just the only problem is you will need a few others to help clear tonberries around the spawn area. Even when fighting.

I love pointy hats! I'm a Galka drk and I always have a level 4 windshear at on when I'm not leveling. I want the Optical Hat because it's the ultimate hat!

Thanks to the hat I not only have 56 accuracy but also one sexy cat...

If you refuse to go after the best melee head piece in the game just because it looks odd on anyone but a mithra, then you have some serious problems ;)

I NEVER saw any DRK wearing it. Nobody on my server wears it. Nope, not one DRK wearing a pointy hat. All I ever sear are high level DRKs wearing the Dark looking helmet thing, not the AF, but it looks like mithryl salet at Lv 49.

I think that hemet is part of the thick series and adds attack+4 and accuracy+3. I think it is call Celata. In most cases by then you already have more accuracy that you really need. The only time I see the optical hat being useful is on something with super high evade.

I think they both look pretty funny, but the football helmet doen't look totaly out of place...

I've seen a few DRK wearing it, but mostly I see Monks/Ninjas wearing it. Most DRK wear the Celata (thick set), the JSE or the AF.
