Ninja Genkai#5

After slaving over it for 3 days... I had 4 deaths to Maat (First didn't really count becuase I just ran and swinged lol) and out of stress I threw out the wrong testimony 2 times I finally figured out a stratgy that worked thanks to some nice JPN on siren who lent me some items.

Required Items
- Nivera (Its a sheep meat it gives ATK and Evasion)
- Evasion Gear (Keep Ochiudos Kote if you have them)
- All Ni Debuffs (Except Jubaku)
- 8 Potions (I used 8 for all times except last but bring for safety)
- Powder for Blink, Blind, Paralyze and Slow
- Opo-opo Necklace
- 4 Sleeping Potions

HOW-TO
1. Enter BC and use Blink Ni
2. While waiting for Ni to recharge use sleeping potions 1 by one with the Opo-Opo Necklace on. (You get 25% per potion)
3. Use the Nivera meat and go fight him.
4. Once his Blink is gone cast casting Jubaku Ichi and by this time he will take off your Blink.
5. Recast your blink and do Blade: Jin.
6. Cast Blind and Slow on him.
7. Before last Shadow of Ni runs out start casting Ichi (He will miss a lot cause his accuracy is low)
8. Now keep fighting I used 1 potion cause I screwed up with blink but take care.
9. Fight him till he does Mijin Gakure and make sure his debuff stay on him.
10. Once he does Mijin Gakure you should have enough TP for another Blade: Jin. Use it and your done!

After countless times trying it and dieing in Oztroja I did it. I hope this helps the other people who can't find info on Ninja Genkai!

hiya stan ^^ I am on your server too :) and I actually know you, I power leveled you and your friend like a week ago (plus we did a few prime battles together) small world huh? :p

I went at lvl 68 and won on 2nd try against him. Did about same thing. Slow/Blind and then he's not that hard. Just wait to night time so you get the extra +10 evasion from AF ^^

What are the sleeping potions and opo-opo necklace for exactly? I'm assuming since you mentioned percentage you gain tp from them?

Opo-opo necklace gives you TP when you are asleep. Sleeping potions put you to sleep. From what I've read, this is a common tactic to get 100% tp to use a WS against Maat.

Opo Opo Necklace gives TP while asleep
Each sleeping potion keeps you alseep for 25% TP
Just get 100% before you attack him.

You didnt use an Icarus wing to self renkei and use a Ni elemental to magic burst?
Can you still buff with your subjob and keep those buffs on you once you enter the BC and the subjob is removed? If that worked it seems like subbing RDM to buff with stoneskin/phalanx would come in handy.

I went to castle oz last night as whm to help friends out in their skillup pt - we killed yagudo assassins and a Ninja testimony dropped, and they let me have it :biggrin: . Those ninja yagudos are evil :sweat:

I'm a ways off obviously from using it but I have made a note of your stratedgy when the day comes.

Any effect you put on before entering the BC gets taken off. Also I did not use any of that cause Its better to just do what I did, it worked great.

When he does 2hr, does that wipe all the enfeebles off him so they need to be reapplied?

I am not a NIN but I just wanna know. When Maat uses the 2H Ability he stays alive -.-? What a cheat0r ¬¬ And how much dmg?

Ninja type monster dont 'die' when they use 2hr, I found this out when killing a ninja NM tonberry, it deals damage then teleports them back to their spawn point with its hp at the same point when they activated their 2hr.

I always wondered if it cleared all their buffs/debuffs on them though since the move is fatal for players where it obviously clears all our buffs - it probably doesnt clear them for monsters, but it seemed like a possibility.

She is correct, he will not die after he does Mijin Gakure but the key is to use Blade: Jin after he does it, He will give up.

He did a nice Dragon Kick on me just after 2H but did WS on him and he gave up ^^

Someone posted a video of his Maat fight on Killing Ifrit. He just used the Icarus Wing instead of using the sleeping potions. Took just over 3 minutes to win. Maat also did Dragon Kick in this fight right after Mijin Gakure, as Madden had mentioned. Here's the link to the thread:
