Does each hit you score on an enemy give you a flat amount of TP, or does doing more damage give you more TP?

The more damage you do, the more TP you get it seems. you also get TP from damage taken. so that might throw some people calculations off a bit

Each hit IS a flat rate. It all depends on the weapon you use. Example: Clubs = 6 TP per hit. Staff = 9 TP per hit. Damage dealt has nothing to do with amount of TP gained (even critical hits give the same amount as a normal hit). Damage received adds a fixed amount of TP (i forget how much).

TP depends on DELAY, not damage. If you've heard of the Monks Endless asuran fists it's because the relic weapon for the MNK have 999 delay, that's a whole lotta tp.

Now it confuses me, becuz when I tested this out last night in Qufim, my TP gains ranged from 6-9 per hit.....and I used the same club. "Heat Rod"

But the mob was'nt attacking me....I was in a full 18 Man alliance, and while waiting till we found the next flag. We were playing around with stuff in Qufim, I never got aggro/hate so I never got hit.

It's kind of dependent on damage in that you must do at least 1 point of damage. Hits for 0 gain no TP.
But no weapon ive ever used had a varying TP gain per hit.

TP gained per hit (doing 1+ dmg) is based on your delay and the weapon plus any "Store TP" traits.
I give this simple example:
Cent. Sword: 19/225
Hunting Sword: 27/264
Holy Mace: 24/300
Cent Sword gives 6 TP per hit.
Hunting Sword gives 7 TP per hit.
Holy mace gives 6 TP per hit.
Note, holy mace is a club and has a higher delay. However, comparing swords to swords (or axe to axe, spear to spear, etc) there is a threshold where the delay increases the TP gained by 1.
From my own experience, this threshold (for sword at least)appears to be between 240 and 257. PLD AF1 has 240 delay and yields 6 TP, War Sword has 257 delay and yields 7 TP.
I've gained 2 TP per hit taken (possibly 3 for a critical... haven't really looked two closely).
