Greatsword/scythe after update?

Yeah I have been away a while, so wich would be better fora Darkknight to use? I'd rather use greatsword but I don't know how well it is with dark...thanks for your help =/

The truth is, use both. You're expected to after level 66. In terms of which is better, it depends on what you're fighting. Vs bones you will probably be ending the Light skillchain with Spinning Slash, which would be from a GS. If you were to end a Dark skillchain you would use Cross reaper, which would be from a Scythe.

Yes, level both AND don't slack on it like I did and let the GS get too far behind to not be useful in levelling anymore. :o My GS is like half of my Scythe level right now, so I gotta go skill levelling soon.

my great sword is 147 scythe is capped at 203......... Once i got vorpal I stoped using great sword all together like an idiot. Cause now i could distortion with the thief without GS..... don't make the same mistake.

Does Dark's use any Great Axes as well? I plan to lvl. all 3 for my Dark Knight. But I wont waste my time if it's not needed.

I think gaxe is a waste of time. Sturmwind is quite good, but that's about all you get that's worthwhile. You miss out on raging and full break--the best skills for gaxe.

At least with 1h axe, you get the multi-hit raging, but miss out on mistral and clamity. Rampage makes for a good distorion skillchain with many other WS, if you can manage to have 1h axe capped along with scythe and greatsword... :sweat:

I would keep 1hs raised if I could though. Drk gets all the 1h sword skills except swift blade. Drk gets to use all the high damage 1hs, and though pld has a higher skill level, drk has plenty attack+ passives/actives, along with all the acc+ and attack+ equips you normally use.
