Player Sterotypes

I saw this on another site and I had tears in my eyes by the time it was done reading it and thought I would start a thread here.

Here are some of the player stereotypes I have run across during my journey through Vana'Diel thus far:

The Flincher - Flincheraricus Weeniecus

The Flincher is usually of the mage class and doesnt really grow into himself until the dunes. Suddenly, as if a reaction to his new surroundings alters his DNA, the flincher becomes paranoid, and afraid of his own KO. The flincher will try to put 3 tanks in every party, and will type /p VOKE!!!!!!!! into the command line and hover his finger over the confirm button just waiting for the monster to move slightly in is direction. If the Flincher gets hit even once, he/she will lanuch a blame barrage and threaten to disband the party.

The Spoiled Brat (SB) - Painicus IntheAssicus

The SB is almost always a WHM. This player can say anything they please, dress down party members for trivial gameplay choices, do as they please, ignore everyone, and still be invited back to the party after being inexplicably afk for 25 minutes. The SB is capable of a temper tantrum in all caps if he is somehow killed in battle. Although disliked by most if not all of his peers, the SB finds no reason to change his attitude, since he levels four times as fast as the few who have stood up to him in the past.

The Guy Without the punctuation key - Jokerirarius Anoyingus

This player substitustes any puncuation with a "lol". This player generally does no harm, and is usually we liked regardless of the fact that he places this phrase in almost every sentance.
Example:
I got a drop from JEJ yesertday lol
Well, I wont be on for a while lol
I was indited for tax evasion lol
There was this guy lol and he was so funny lol


Sorry about the latin names, I used to watch a lot of looney toons.

The Grab 'n Go - Grabbicus Leavicus

The Grab 'n Go is any player who will join a party for either EXP or items and leave immediately afterwards with no warning, or even a BS lie to cover their own ass. Example:

* Dingdong obtains Giddeus Chest Key

"Uh....guys....my mom says I have to get off and do homework or I'm in big trouble. Cya! Thanks for the PT!"

It's not atypical to find the same player in the next zone or in town at the AH.


Impatient Bastard - Impatientus Bastardicus

The Impatient Bastard is typified by a person who simply refuses to join a party without a WHM present, or wait for one. Instead, they hope to be plugged into an already set party. Most times, to my joy, this backfires because when they find out I have a WHM after he/she left and want back in, I tell them to scram.


Mage Melee - WTF R U Thinkingicus?

The Mage Melee can be described as the WHM or BLM that insists in melee'ing in a full party despite their extremely low hitpoints and armour. These are also the same people who will then bitch at you for not protecthing him/her by spamming voke.

This is the WAR who insists they kept trying to provoke that IT mob off of you after you died, but couldn't, because their macro "wasn't working". "I swear it didn't work." FU!

The Ub3r 1337 haX0r

Usually a Drk, thinks his damage "pwns", when he hits for 50 damage. Of course usually misses 80 percent of the time, likely wearing horrible equipment as well... Refuses to skillchain because they just want to spam their weapon skill that does a pathetic 100 damage each time (which they think is "uber")...

Cheap noob

Can be any class, usually a melee, often with a very underlevelled subjob and armour several levels below them. Nin/Thf without Utsusemi is a common example. Refuses to put any time into farming/lvling up subjobs.

How about you say what kind of player you are?

I play WHM and BST - as a WHM I refuse to join noob parties, I prefer to start a party or help someone start a party (that way I can just skip the noobs altogether), and I don't hesitate to leave a party if it sucks because there's likely 5 more parties that will invite a WHM. As a BST if a party sucks I just go level solo (where I can get 2-3000 xp/hour, sometimes more). This might make me an 'elitist', I don't know, but I'm not willing to waste my limited playing time with a bunch of noobs...

This Guy is usally some popular job. He Judges EVERYONES moves. If the person is a WHM he'll tell the PLD what to do. If a RDm heals cuz the WHM is OOM (Out of mana) the other RDM might say: WHY U HEALING THEM? They will g mad andf ull hear it till u leave or the perason leavs PT. ALso These type of ppl like to argue over nothing. NOTHING! SOmeone ull ask: "Why are u <blah blah blah>" And the other guy wil reply wit somthing wity. I knew someone like this. I ran away from him ASAP.

Judge Ass

this person is cool at first. He does what he normally does. He talks jokes Helps others and a real nice guy. Or is he? He starts to Show his true colors. If this person is this and he can do somthing else. He will refuse. Judge ass: It isnt My Job let the WHM/PLD/DRK/ETC Do it!" This person dies. Judge ass: WHY DID U GET ME KILLED! I hate u! Im leacving and blisting all of u! But! BUT! But, He laughs when his teammembers r dead. He is a hippocrit and says somthing and Doesnt do his Oen rulz. He'll laugh when somthing bad hapend to someone else. WEhen it happens to him, its the end of the world! Watch out for these ppl. There are many!



Dr. Typo (me)- The one who doesnt have a ',",.,,? all the lowercase letters on his Keyboard.
