I've noticed from screenshots and the new version of the guide it has the added effet of "HP Drain".
two things cross my mind. It slowly drains the users (I.E:MY) HP.
OR
It drains the HP of the helpless monster i'm beating to a pulp, and gives it to me.
Which one is it? if it's the first one, is it really that bad, the drain on you?

"additional effect: hp drain"
i'll break it down for you.
the "additional effect:" refers to something that procs randomly upon a successful hit.
the "hp drain" effect is similar to what blood weapon does -- it drains an amount of hp directly related to the amount of damage done.
so if you hit the mob for 100 and the additional effect manages to proc, you will receive 100 hp.

okay, thanks. ^^
I know what additional effects are, i just wanted to make sure it was what i was thinking. Some games Added effets are actually detrimental to your character. >.>
how often does the HP drain go off on the thing anyway?

basically a luxury. don't ever count on it to save you, but appreciate it when it procs. at lv20, drks get to use cruel scythe, which has additional effect: evasion down -- it's really a great weapon.

When this Death Scythe Drain HP its give u a lot of hate too???
Hm, I saw my lvl 75 drk friend when helping me with coffer hunts with the deathscythe. The HP drain effect went off maybe 5% of the time, or about 1 in 20 hits. It was pretty rare so you can't depend on it to actually heal you. Especially with the long delay of a scythe.

i found that with my cruel scythe Evasion Down actually goes off a decent amount of times when i'm in a pt. Maybe 3-5 times? now sure that isn't lots over a span of like 4 or 5 hours but it helps ;o when i had the flame claymore it barely ever did additional fire damage :/
