Why did he buy that sword for 400,000K ?
a) He's an idiot b) He had alot of extra money
c) He was feeling generous d) He dropped his entire wallet on the desk infront of the shop owner and the shop owner grabbed it and left the sword

no elite, that's hellfire sword, D41. yours (Infernal sword right?) is D40. 1D doubles the price :P But still, that guy prolly accidentally added a zero. Sucks for him. I remember one guy bought the best scythe in the game off LS for 1 gil right? :cool:

The person just put an extra 0 by mistake, happens sometimes.
If it happened to me, I send the extra money back.. kinda scared of being mean and keeping.
As for "best items being 1gil" its because the first person to find it and doesn't really want it, wants to show off the fact it exists in the game now and they have it. Things like Flare >_< They tell a friend or they bid on their own item right away. Risky though.

when prices are put at 999,999,999 (?) its usually becose the owner only wants to trade the item with something, not sell it !
Btw, what a jerk paying that much for a sword, but then again, one bought an armour from me for 30k ^^;
