Ok so there I was, getting ready to pick up a friend in valkurm to give a PL for a little while. Near the zone, i run into this bad boy.

Uhh ya, turns out its the SAM AF2 NM.... obviously I cant solo him since he hit me for 100 a pop with that staff, and had a pretty decent amount of life. Someone must have popped it and ran to the Theine zone. Unfortunately, I was just PL'ing, so I didnt even have any gear to put up a decent fight (just AF and thf dagger), so i ran back to theine.

I zone back in, and hes nowhere to be found. Then I go to selbina....

Someone (me) finally has the foresight to engage it, and /call for help. I didn't even care anymore, I /shouted in EN and JP (jp was prolly majorly gimp since i rushed it) what the situation was.. n00bs came flocking into battle

I use 2 hour and nuke as much as i can, taking it down to 1/4 life before I have to zone into selbina due to fear of death.

No more pics, but after I went back out I met up with Lilyanne, high level bst, and we proceeded to relocate and fight the monster. A high level Drg finally came and penta-ed down its remaining HP... it was the most excited day the valkurm noob crowd has ever seen.

If anyone ever pops an AF NM and runs again, I will hunt them down and slaughter then D;

P.S. All the while Maximillian stood idle'y by, and continued to hunt VE:cool:

Hunting this thing around the dunes was a lot of fun. I was xping there as my war at the time, and decided to dezone back to Jeuno and come back as bst. Took ages to find it for some reason, but it only had about 10% life left when Sheya (the drg) finally killed it. It had a swarm of ppl around it.

But wow, what a surprise. I've never even seen this thing before but it was at the zoneline just annihilating the low lvls. Must have killed 20-30 ppl. ;x

Certainly makes an interesting change from the usual dreariness of Valkurm. ;]

Heh, that's not for SAM AF2, that was the summation of stupidity running rampant throughout Valkurm on a daily basis. The newbness got too high and caused the monster to spawn. :spin:

Unfortunatly I was afk for the moment's of which the situation was occuring. But even if I was there, and saw the NM run by, yeah, I woulda still been looking for Vamp.

i almost did something like that in Ordelles... A friend of mine (I didnt know he was there) and he Chainspelled + Escaped out. I was amazed and slowy walked up the stairs. Turns out he engaged the earth ele nm for PLD AF and it broke thru Phalanx + Stoneskin+ Protect 3 in one hit :eek:
