Scythe Progression

Ive recently begun leveling DRK and plan on taking it up to at least lv40, right now i am using Legionnaires scythe and i am having trouble deciding if I should upgrade to Plantoid, Republic or just wait for the lv18 scythe.

I was hoping some experienced DRKs would be willing to post a scythe progression, what works what doesn't etc. Money is not a problem for me i have lots.

It doesn't matter how you progress. Just get the scythe with highest D.

skip the lvl 18 scythe, and get yourself a cruel scythe. if you have the money at that low lvl, get it.

From legionares, go Cruel -> Mcn Cpt -> Mythril -> Af1 -> Brb Scythe -> Vassago's Scythe -> Darksteel Scythe -> Death Scythe
i can't see any reason to do otherwise.

I think you just have to go with the DRK only scythes (Although I hear that Bone Scythe blows and it is a DRK only scythe). Starting with Cruel and progress from there. As for the argument of getting a Mythril before AF1 (A lot of n00bs complain about costs, etc.) it is because Mythril is level 40 which is good for BCNM40. If you're not planning to do a single BCNM40, you could just pass it up and get your AF1 - but I know some DRKs who don't get to do it till like they're level 50 or something so it's situational dependant.

bone scythe would have been good if it had a little more delay, but since its only 508 or something, it won't give you that extra .5% tp per swing, so its not very good. atleast thats my reasoning for why barbarian scythe is superior, i really don't like the accuracy-5 however.

get the merc scyth at lvl31
get the harvest scythe at lvl 37 if you plan to skip the mythril scyth at lvl40 to go for af1

i cannot stand watching a lvl42 drk using a llvl31 weapon, that's just as bad as that pld that 's wearing an armor 10 lvls below

I did it and still did 60-80 a hit to IT's D:

About the Bone Scyth thing-it's not really that important because by the time you get Guillotine you'll be using a Vasaggo's anyways. Just get the one you like more =O

i actually prefer bone over vassagos UNLESS you have 2 snipers.

as you can see, im elvaan, and have enough trouble hitting as it is

Why would you prefer Bone over Vassago's? Vassago's gives you acc at the cost of some HP, where as bone is nothing but damage.

I picked up a cruel scythe and couldn't be more pleased with it. Ive never done this much dmg playing melee before. Its intoxicating.
