I was just wondering what are the most common classes and the least common classes on Leviathan?

I'm on the Leviathan server. There are two ways to look at it:

People under level 30:
Lots of WAR and WHM
Very few BLM

Above 30:
More DRKs and DRGs than you can shake a stick at
Can never find a WHM when you them
Same goes for Bard.

Leviathan is not a new server (Asura is newer) so the economy is pretty stable. But just like any server, you got your fair share of great players and idiots alike.

What about Thieves Rangers and Red mages how rare or how common are they?

Lots of THF's, need more RDMs, not sure about RNG.

I've seen tons of RNG around San d'Oria... SMN as well.... not many RDM there or in Bastok, from what I've seen... but then again, I am new... *sigh*

i think black mages are one of the least common classes along with bards. i'm only 42, but in the last 10 or so parties i've partied with only one black mage.

least common = brd, not too many rng's either imho. lots of (= too many ^^) thf, drk and drg though.

not enough blm's? every pt i was in had at least 1 blm ;)

Cool! I just made a new character (a taru) and it put me in Leviathan. I'm a rdm and plan to play as rdm/whm and rdm/blm, so it's good to hear my services will be in demand... assuming I become a good rdm. :sweat:

It really depends on what time of the day you play. There's a TON of low level non-AF NA RDMs during peak NA times 6pm-12am EST, and from midnight to around 8am EST you have Japanese prime time, and there are TONs of 70+ Errant/AF RDMs, but there is a gap from 41-65.

I will agree that BRDs are very, very rare on the server, especially among the NA crowd. There are tons of DRKs and DRGs post level 40, not very many SAMs, an increasing SMN population (still nothing remarkable) and more WHMs than you can shake a stick at. We have a pretty heavy casting community on Leviathan compared to some servers, but we have an ungodly amount of melee classes and outside of RDM/NIN (yes, they STILL exist) there remains a defecit of true (read - good) support mages.

Our economy is great though, Dark Staff is down to 190K ;p
