Four-Leaf Mandrogora Bud

I have heard that simply carrying a 4leaf bud with you increases your treasure hunter ability by 1 if you are a thf or gives you the ability if you arent, and that eating it gives 2 skill. Is there any confirmation to these rumors?

I saw a thread on this before somwhere around here. IIRC the consensus was that having the 4LMB gave you TH1 if in your inventory but nobody knew if it stacked with TH1/TH2.
