Ok, i know this sounds dumb but if i bought the PC version would someone pay my monthly fee for the first month i have to pay for? I cant afford it. Im guessing nobody will but i thought id ask anyway.

dood no offense but any joe can find enough quarters on the ground within a a months time to cover at least half if not all of the fee. On top of that - how can anyone have a computer that fit the rediculous spec requirements of a game like XI and not be able to fork out 10 bucks - sorry i went off on you - im really not a mean guy heh but i dun see need to try and have someone else pay for your bill.

im not 12, but i am short on money and without a job. college life isnt easy. i figure that i really want to play this game but cant afford to because of gas for getting to school and my girlfriend, plus a guys gotta eat. the only way i could afford it is to get the game from ebay cause its cheaper, and that would set me back on my spending money, so it would help if people could donate a buck or two. its not much for just one person plus if lots of people do it ill have enough in no time. yeah i guess you could call me a beggar, or you call me reliant on the videogame community that i am a part of. this game does promote a community atmosphere after all. if anyone wants to donate to me through paypal or send me some change or a dollar or something just PM me, it would be much appreciated, plus ingame i can give you stuff and a percentage of my gil as appreciation. CollEge is a lot different than whatever school your in (middle or high school) It depends how many units this guy is taking, if hes taking 12, then get a job you lazy bum, but if hes taking 18 or more, i can understand not having a job. But anyways, im not defending him, i think its lame to ask people on the boards for money, atleast beg your real life friends for some cash. That would be a lot easier.

Ha! I'm taking 20 units and I have a job. Many other full time students I know have part time work out of necessity, including some young parents. If he really needed money that badly, he'd be able to squeeze in part time work. Yeah i know its lame beggin on a message board for money, but i do what i gotta do. im taking alot of classes right now and i figure i can use my spare time doing one of two things, either i can get a job (which around here is actually quite hard) and make the money to play the game, but have no actual time to play it. Or i can throw what little dignity i have left out the window and beg. Ive done worse for money. Ive always done pranks and dumb junk for money, but now its not so easy so this is what ive resorted to. i hope your not using college as an exuse. i dont know your exact situation but being 19age i have full tme job 32+ hours a week, full time college student 12 credit hours, and bills ala dsl, car insurance, gas money, phonebill, and anything extra i might need like gams and cloths and stuff. and for some reason despite going to malls and movies with friends almost every week, i fnd time to play ffxi and pay for it....

no im not bragging but college inst a real excuse. you can cut back on your spending money of other things and put alittle aside each mothn to cover the montly bill. but as far as ordering it which will run you 80+ almost, i think about that part time job alittle more. i know you might not have time to play it OFTEN but you will be playing it ^^. some people only paly once a week that i know of. so give the part time job a chance and who knows.. ^_^

you can get Ramen Noodles for 10 cents a package. 3 times a day makes all 3 meals 30 cents; times 7 days a week makes $2.10. a full week of food for hardly over $2. hey, it may not be fun but if you want it bad enough you have to make some sacrifices.

And acutally you cant eat that for a week straight since there is nothing good for you in it, except a lot of sodium which after eating just that (and enough to get full on the meals so i dont whither away {2 each meal]) it will just harm me in the long run.

I am now a college student, and I dont see any point to be an execuse. I play the game, I pay the fee, and I'm a international student(which mean I pay more tuitioin fee than state resident).

But just same as other ppl advise, walk to college. Or save money from your food expense. I usually having two(or one) meals a day only. Which a meal cost about 4-6 dollars, and i can save about 30 dollars a week for my gaming expense.
