rare weapons?

Yeah, there are quite a few rare items and weapons...but for the most part, they aren't FF legacy weapons...

I do believe there will be weapons such as the ones you mentioned, if the website I got the references from were correct, you can get all sorts of weapons like that eventually, such as Lionheart, Ragnarok, and Ultima Weapon being the three best Two Handed Swords! There will definitely be several famous classic Final Fantasy Weapons in the game by the time it's been fully updated!

No, I very much doubt the Lionheart will be a Gunblade, and from the screenshot I saw, Ultima Weapon doesn't look that much like the one from FFVII and FFVIII, which is pretty disappointing! Lionheart does look cool though, but odds are, I'll either get Ultima Weapon or a Masamune, but only the Masamune if there's someway to actually give it any actual stats what so ever, like being a Samurai or imbueing it with a crystal! In which case, Masamune + Centient Crystal = Whoopass!

there is a high possibility of an Ultima weapon of some sort, as most of the newer FF's have had an weapon called Ultima Sword, so, yes, it is a possibility (not likely tho, at least until the level cap is at what square wants the max to be)

there is ultima weapon sword in the item list in some japanese sites. it's for level 200+ to use tho. so we probably won't see it in game anytime soon

also all those murasame and classical FF swords too. all require level 100+

the save the queen is a level 60 something, so maybe a few months of dedicated gameplay when it comes out will land me one.

I've always liked the save the queen best in Tactics and especially in 9.

I don't know if any one else has tried translating that site, but I've managed to make a list of some of the weapons with my limited japanese skills. So far I've only gotten so far as to translate many(but not all) of the following:

Hey,

First off, the +1 just means it does one whole point of extra damage from what I've seen(though I don't have the game), and it also decreases the weapon's delay by about 6 or 7 points.

Second, yes, weapons do have level requiremnets, I was going to add those to the list too but I got lazy. Well, that and it's pretty self explanatory on the site and needs no translation.
