anyone else getting worried??

Here it is Wed. of the week before the Retail Release of the game.
As a Beta Tester I have not heard anything from S-E, or Sony regarding the delivery of the HDD.

I myself am beginning to worry a bit. I know it will get here when it gets here. Its just that I am feeling uneasy about the whole thing.

Anyone else care to chime in?

I don't think there's anything to worry about unless you didn't reserve it. I'm like beyond exited because where I reserved it they promised I get it saturday

Yes but us beta testers didnt have to reserve it. We were promised a free retail HDD unit a week to 2 weeks prior to retail release acording to the email we all got from Sq-Enix before betas end.
I myself havent heard anything yet either, am getting a little antsie myself :sweat:

So, Thark601, do you have proof of what you are saying?


Reason I ask, I just contacted S-E via the live chat option. They said the delivery of the HDDs was being handled directly by SCEA.

They provided an 800 number that brought me to Sony's Beta Center. While the Service Rep I spoke to could not tell me exactly when it was being sent out, he did confirm that we would in fact be receiving the HDD. He was a little less clear on when exactly it would be arriving, but did tell they would be shipping via UPS.

He suggested I send an email to Support at the Playstation.com sight, which I just did.

So in the end, My mind is at ease knowing at least that the HDD will be on its way soon.

My understanding from what I've read is that it would SHIP a week before the release date. It would likely be going ground shipping, so I'd expect to see it just before or after the weekend, only a few days before the retail release.

Come on.. you can wait. If you can't, then you should have bought the PC version. :biggrin:

Well I was beginning to worry myself, and thought that I was all alone on this. I just called SCEA and the woman I talked to gave me pretty much zero information about anything. She said 'I'm guessing they are going to send it 1 week prior to realase, but I don't know." Thanks lady. I want my FFXI. I NEED my FFXI! I've been waiting for this game since it was realeased in Japan in May years ago, and I've already told my girlfriend/family/friends that I won't be seeing them for a few weeks, at the least. Taking off school Friday the 26th, and playing FFXI in one room with 2 other people for 72 hours..... can't wait. Any posted update info is appreciated. :handsdown See everyone soon.
