Oh No Free Hdd Issues

hi every1 i know this is prbly getting annoying about this topic, but i had to tell you this.

I called Sony customer service, and i was asking a couple of questions, one of them was about the free hdd.

the tech. said that they will only be sent out the day after it's release.

can some ppl call and verfiy this????

I dunno for sure but that is probably right.
Some people are getting there hopes up and thinking there gonna get there free FFXI like the day of the release WRONG. Give me a break man, the thing is FREE no way there gonna give you top priority (do not take any offense plz i am only saying my opinion). Shipping the day after seems right. The stores will probably get there shipments in maybe a day or two before the realease day (aka the day i slip the dude at the register a Washington if ya know what i mean). So you beta dudes(and dudetts) should be getting yous about 6 or more days after release if that info you got was correct

then again, the last mass contact that was given to beta people was that it would be sent one week before release. might as well wait until monday-wed. this next week and see if we get contacted again. That seems like the best course of action at this point.

lol...The retail stores arent getting them a few days before release. Gamestopis telling me it will arive either the 23rd or the 24th.

LIES ALL LIES!!!!!

Target (well my target) gets there games in like 1 week early. I renember (yeah that is spelled wrong) when FFX came out. I checked the Saturday before the release ,which was 1 week away, and they had it. Same went for Champions of Norrath.
My bro ditched today and said at Target they had 3 FFXI's but i think he was looking at the display box and thought it was real box. Ill get to the bottom of this tommorrow though.
Gamestop is pretty stuck up IMO so there probably playing by the rules like they always do....bastards.

Circuit City isn't getting theirs in till March 30th...

The beta shipping a day after sounds about right. Like Tauguy said, it's free... and it's hunderds of dollars of equipment... they'll take their sweet time. BUT, maybe you guys will get urs today or tomorrow, or even Saturday...that sounds about right if they started shipping them a week before the actual release date.
