how much zink do i need to give to have enouf tenshodo fame to get utsemi quest and others?

Don't know the exact amount of zinc ores you need. But enough to get the Rice Ball price from the lady at the counter before entering tenshodo, down to about 140-143 gil a rice ball.

140 is way too low... I believe my price was down to 157-156 when I got Utsem quest started.

I've heard its 155 gil to accept Leviathan. I think someone told me it was 157ish to get the ninjusu though.

If you can get blink ninjitsu quest, you can get Leviathan quest. Everyone that I've talked to has said this, and personally I can confirm it ^^

So what does rice balls actually have to cost so you can start Trial by Water & Utsusemi quest? I'm tired of these conflicting amounts.

Price for certain items drop depending on your fame in that area, rice balls are sold in tenshudo... hence when the price reaches 155 you can accept Trial by Water.

And yes, its 155.
