Allright so i will be getting the PS2 hard drive which comes packed with FFXI and i just have a few questions.

The whole server thing-I have like 2 friends who are currently on Fairy server, and i was just wondering if it would be smart to also join that server or am i just randomly assigned one? Oh yeah and if i dont choose that server which other servers are pretty good with a lot of people?

You're randomly assigned a server unless you have a world pass. Ask your friends to get you a world pass to use at character creation so you can go on Fairy.
