When you go to an auction house, you can chose from 3 options: Buy, sell, and check (something).
If you want to try to find the price of something, you will need to either go under buy, find the item, click on it, and check price history. or sell it, then go under check, click on the item, then click price history.
You can also take something out of the auction house by going to check(3rd option), click on the item, then select remove item.
When you sell something, you need to set a price, that is the minimum.

When you go to an auction house, the 2nd option, sell. When you click on an item you want to sell, you have to set a price. That is the lowest it will be sold at.

Thanks alot I understand now, I always thought that box was used to pay the transaction fee, since it shows you the transaction cost at the same time the box appears.
