Possible to play with 16mb on lowest settings?

I'm thinking about buying the game, but i dont know if my video card can handle it. it is a ATI rage 128 pro.

I do not know exactly how the game handles system requirements.

All I can tell you is that some let you play even if your system does not meet the minimum requirements.

Maybe you can borrow a friends' disk and see if the installer will check your system and maybe okay it??

Video cards are running very cheap these days - awesome 128 MB cards for around $150.

I seriously doubt it.. Does that card even support TnL? If not, you're screwed anyway.
Trust me, you won't regret investing in a new Video Card. You'll be quite happy you did.

i couldnt get it working on my 32 geforce card... so i doubt it as well... it wont even let you try (config menu is disabled)

You can get a Geforce 4 mx 440 that will run the game failry well for under the price of a single game, really you shouldnt buy another game untill you at least buy some low end card. The rage 128 is one of the worst cards ever made.

Like the others said. You may want to upgrade before buying FFXI. However, also...and if you -really- want this game and dont wanna buy a new card, then this MIGHT work. Don't quote me though...it MIGHT work...but in all respects...a better video card is the best route preferrable a 128mb, but 64mb will do just find too with settings on low. Read this thread first about the Emulator for FFXI (it's a video card emulator not sure it's illegale but alot of people with low end video cards have found it useful to get FFXI to run on thier system.)
