how many of each race/job?

im waiting for it to come out on ps2, just curious what seems to be the most/least common race/job. thanks for any input.

As far as I've been able to tell, there aren't really any uncommon jobs or races. None of the "basic" jobs that you can be when you first start playing are anything close to rare, at least in the early levels. The advanced jobs are less common, but still not quite what I'd call rare.

The class I've seen the least of is Ranger. I've never grouped with a Ranger before. I don't see very many Dark Knights either around my level... I think I've grouped with one total. I've grouped with two Bards. I've grouped with two or three Dragoons and perhaps four Paladins.

At higher levels I expect you would see more of the advanced jobs.

None of the races are rare, though there are some rare race/class combinations (usually are usually rare for a good reason).

At my level, Thief seems like the most common job. Just about every group I've been in has had a thief. This is probably because everybody wants to level a thief for the Treasure Hunt I job ability they get at 15, so they can sub Thief to farm ("farm" generally means to hunt easy stuff just for their drops so you can make gil.) My understanding is that thieves become a good bit more rare at higher levels.
