Ok, have a slight problem. I can connect to Playonline and play FFXI when I connect my Ethernet cable directly into the Broadband Modem. However when I try to connect whilst using the internet through my other computer...it won't connect at all.

I've sorted out Internet Sharing and everything...but it still won't connect. Has anyone else had this problem? Help!

Your problem here is fairly simple...once you know what it is. The traffic coming in from Playonline does not know where it's destination is. The port numbers that playonline need to be opened. For this you will need a router, I recommend one with a PRE SET DMZ port. This question will come up innumerable times when the PS2 comes out. This is the reason many can't hear voices from other headsets on socom. Once you get the router (I suggest a linksys), you will need to configure the settings to your computer. The reason I suggest the pre set dmz port is that it allows you to skip the long step that is trying to open the correct ports for POL. Hope this helps you!

Edit: Note there are other ways to open up the ports without a router, many of which would be less expensive. I gave this advice as I'm fairly comfortable with routers.
