Hey all...Sorry for posting here if this is the wrong area, but I wasn't sure where to post this. Anyway, I just started the game tonight, and I love it. I play a Hume Thief, lvl 3 right now in Bastok. Since starting I have only done the first Mission, the Makarim Report. I am not sure what to do other than kill, and I am not even sure what or where to do that besides the Mines or outside the gates. I just wanted some info on what I should do until when, what gear I should try for soon, and what quests are worth doing now or soon from now. Also, I am confused about the buy/sell system, as far as I have been told, the best place to sell crystals and flint is the Auction House, but I'm not sure what they go for, any suggestions? Thanks for the input, it is greatly appreciated......Btw, name is Fayne, on Pandemonium server. If anyone on that server can help in-game, please don't be afraid to give me a tell, and if not, I will just keep checkin this post.....:handsdown

Just explore. There is no huge rush in this game for anything but to have fun. Talk to the folks inhabiting the town, see who else knows Cornelia! Find out which ones need favors of you.
Try checking out the hills around the Gustaberg area, they have some interesting wildlife and monsters, which you can of course slaughter for the good of Bastok.
Maybe accept the second mission, find out what you need to do for that.
Some things are worth simply getting help for though. The manual isn't the best at organizing its information. There are a few ways you can sell what you collect. One of the most widely used is the Auction House. You can place either single items or stacks of twelve (partial stacks can be split by going to manual sort and selecting it twice) up for auction through the sell option, and you can bid on or check the recent Price History of items through the Bid option.
Another is the Bazaar. Available from your second menu (hit Numpad - again after opening the menu), it allows you to set prices for items in your inventory (price set is always for 1 item, stacks do not have to be bought whole), and sell them directly from your character.
