my new encounter with NM

one of the NM of giddeus which I had to pass on at the time because I was busy trying to get a Giddeus key at the time and my inventory was almost full :(

I didn't waste my time with that NM because of two reasons - i had to get a giddeus key for the airship pass for kazham, and i had to kill the windurst dragon for rank 3. I wasn't going to benefit from its drops at the time, and killing it may result in the lvl 45 NM to pop which I did not want to happen considering what I had to do.

Here is another NM that I did encounter in Ranperre Tomb and killed while I was farming Rock Eaters for ranperre's keys to get battle gloves. . .

Some NM are necessary for quests and missions (Lambert, BCNM, etc); others are necessary for gil farming (Spook, Lizzy, Jaggedy Eyed Jack, etc.) and there are others that are a complete waste of time. . .

Not really, some NMs drop really useful weapons or really nice armor, like Hoo Mjuu who drops the Monsters signam really helpful for bards and beastmasters i think.

After spending parts of 4 days camping for this screwy rabbit, I finally got to fight it. Sadly I got no drop from it :(

When I was taking a friend to kill a HNM in Ghelsba (Warchief Wacker) due to a Bastok mission he was in, I showed him the spawn site for another NM that was nearby. This one drops a pretty good low-level spear, though it does suck that the spear isn't worth more than it is now. . .

LOL, warcheif vagit (sp?) is certainly not a HNM. and that first nm you showed is for rank3.

Thoushandarm Deshglesh (sp?)... the one you were fighting in that last pic, drops a plate belt, for pld/war...not whatever spear you were talking about. I've gotten it from that NM before.
