New hellish problem!!Help plz!!!!

I somebody could help me, i'd be really pleazed, my pc is far ahead the recommended requirements, it took hours to play, and it wasnt easy, i live in france so i had to buy your version of the game, and when i play, damn, my computer crashes completely, it shuts down!!! after somthin likfe 20 minutes of playing, it freezes 10 seconds then shut down!
I tried everything, i have of course the latest drivers for my graphic card, i tried reinstalling windows, i tried updating windows, i tried with a low resolution, i tried chaging the settings of my GForce Go 5600 in the bios.
It not not only annoying, but it really pisses me of, cause i bought the US game for a high price (around 80 boxes), the monthly fee is also higher, i really wanted to play to this fucking game!!

Seems great (the game), but to many problems, really, i didnt think that a squre game would ever make me say :
SQUARE SUCKS (online but square rulez on earth ^_^)

Uninstall FFXI and reinstall it. In POL be sure to check the file system. I don't remember which tab it is. It will check the updates you dl'ed and from there it will tell you if any errors come up.

Already done, when i reinstalled windows, i formated my hdd, so i didnt have the choice, i had to reinstall ff XI...
The first thing i tried is to check the system files with an option in the playonline viewer, so already done too...but thanx...

If you have not already, use the tec support in your POL account. There is a phone number you can call in there. Also there is a Email thing you can send them. They would know best.

By the sound of it, it's not a problem with what you have installed, etc... Windows, the game and drivers sound like they are fine, otherwise you wouldn't be playing for a consistant 20 min. every time then crashing. I can see it happening once, maybe twice on a lucky day b/c of some graphic loading that the drivers can't deal with, but every time is too... coincidental.

Do you find it takes a little while to boot your computer back up after that happens? Or that playing FFXI lasts even shorter after just rebooting in that situation? I ask because your symptoms sound strikingly similiar to a cooling problem...

you failed to mention how you are playing this game with .... a psx gamepad, usb gamepad or the keyboard. The reason why i'm asking this is, i had a similiar problem, and after almost 2 weeks of emailing tech support, they failed to figure out the problem ... the suggestions they gave even included updating my sound drivers -.-

anyways, i found out and fixed my problem. I'm using a psx gamepad to play ffxi using the NTPad driver ..... and guess what the problem was .... NTPad is a fricken lousy driver .... so i downloaded PSXpad instead .... fixed my problem :D no more crashing :D but if you're not using a psx gamepad to play ...... ignore this post :P
