I leveld my WHM to 31 with a BLM sub to 19. I then switched to a BRD/WHM and have leveled that job to 28.
I would like to go back to a WHM and get to 38 for the teleport line of spell, but the job I want to take to 75 is BRD.
So my question is this...What spells on the list below are required between WHM 29-37 and which can I bypass knowing that I have only a few levels left in playing a WHM.
Cursna 29
Banish II 30
Curagra II 31
Erase 32
ReRaise 33
Viruna 35
Dia II 36
Shellra II 37
Thanks for the input

Cursna 29 - Unless you're fighting a lot of undead that does status change things, you shouldn't need this.
Banish II 30 - Bah, let the melee do the damage
Curagra II 31 - Divine seal + Curage should be okay. And benediction is just as good. Also, I doubt you'll have the MP to cast this, if your party is dying.
Erase 32 - Nice to have, but check other threads about Erase.
ReRaise 33 - No comment....listen to other people.
Viruna 35 - No clue what this does ?_?
Dia II 36 - I personally don't think this worth the MP (unless you have pineapple juice, or a RDM with refresh).
Shellra II 37 - I don't even cast shell on my parties sometimes.

not required but re-raise seems to be allot of fun. Lasts about an hour it seems so you just cast it and heal and then you feel more secure.

reraise is great, and dia ii is worth it :)
even banish ii is worth it, to me. does actual dmg.

Reraise. You will love this spell and its not expansive.
You dont need all the others. Dia 2 costs 60 mana and is mostly not worth it. I still cast Dia 1 when i dont have a Bard or Red with me so mana is not a manner.

Cursna: Very very handy. Useful against Ghost-type enemies, as well as for Dragon fights (Mission 6).
Banish II: I have no idea why people think WHM attack spells suddenly are useful. they're not. Skip this spell. Anything you're going to be using Transfixion or Fusion on (light element to burst) will most likely be undead, at which point tossing a Cure-type spell at the monster to Magic Burst is always more effective.
Curaga II: Not terribly useful. It's flashy, but you can definitely live without it.
Erase: If you can afford this spell, get it. Chances are, though, it will be more than you are willing to part with. Still, it's very handy to get rid of annoying effects like Rasp.
Reraise: Will become your best friend as soon as you get it.
Viruna: Not really needed until level 47+ when you're going to want it when hunting for ancient papyrus in The Eldieme Necropolis. You can even avoid this, probably, if you are careful. You definitely need this by level 58 though, if you plan to fight Velociraptors in Valley of Sorrows.
Dia II: Expensive as this spell may be, it is critical to success at level 45+. A lot of enemies at those levels have high defense, and Dia II takes a chunk out of it so your melees can lay down some damage.
Shellra II: GET THIS. 'Nuff said.

Time for a money hunt then.
I've found Dia II to be very useful against beetle type monsters. However, I haven't yet bothered to get Banish II, Curaga II and Erase. I will probably get Erase from a BCNM 40 eventually, but as things stand right now, I'm too chicken. ^^;

I thought the point behind the post is "im stop lvling at 38 to be a bard, can o safe the money"
So get reraise and dont get the rest. Once you hit the lvl with your Bard (lvl 60+) get the spells. But dont waiste your money for Dia 2, Shellra 2. Its not worth it if you stop at lvl 38 anyway. You will fight Bats and Crawlers all the way up to 38 and there you will use Barpoisonra and Poisona but you dont need Shell at all.
