im getting this game tommmarow and i want to play with my friend. but will a different server make us play in different worlds? and my friend said he didnt pick a server. wats up?:confused:

you cant play with a friend in different sever you can get a world pass that lets you move servers but the more people in a sever the more the pass costs$$$

yea i no that but he said he didnt pick a server when he started playing, so how do i no if we can get on the same one, and how does he know which one hes on?

you dont pick witch sever you get on its just random when you start out and it tells you what server your on everytime you select your person where it says you job lvl and race

Yes, once you are placed on a server you are on it forever. You can tell what server you are on as soon as you log in. In the chat window box it should say in purple letters "Welcome to nameofserver"

dang it, so u mean theres no way of "making sure" that i play with my friend, we live about 15min away fomr each other if that helps and have same internet connnection i think.

Not real money, you have to buy world passes with gil. Once you get one it gives you a 10 digit number, give that to your friend. When he makes a new character, he will have to type in the name of your server and the world pass. Then he can create a character on your server

i dont actually know, ive never bought one. I know that it depends on the population of the server. More people = more gil

depends on how much people are in the sever a server can hold like 20,000 people i think the more people the more $$$$

You can buy them from carious people in Vana'Diel. I know theres a guy in Windurst who sells them, he in heavens tower somewhere. i dont really know but i would guess on average they cant be any more then 5k :sweat: Im just guessing here though.

Yes you have to start completely over, so if your planning on moving, dont level your first character to much :sweat:

I had to start over when i moved too, but my friend gave me some money to start out with so it wasnt to bad :biggrin:

ok then. i hope i can get him to get the world pass before i get the game tommaorw, if i wait to long the anticipation will kill me and ill screw it and prob play in a diff world then him. ah well. anyway i was thinking of being a red mage, but not sure which race. any suggestions?

It all depends on what you would like to do in the game. Heres the basic breakdown of jobs

Theif: Get rich fast, Best with mithra

Warrior: Want to be the hero who fights up close, be a warrior, Best with Elvaan

Monk: Fighter up front who uses fists to get the job done, Best with galka imo

Whitemage: You keep the party alive with your healing magic, best with taru

Blackmage: Insane damage, best with taru

Redmage: Good balance of magic and power, best with hume
