Hi.

Need some general info about this game. Can anyone answer these questions.

1) When you start the game with a new character who do you need to speak to in the following towns to get the map of your home town?
a) Bastok
b) San Doria

2) What are the ESSENTIAL macros for the following classes for use in the first 10 levels
a) WAR
b) MNK
c) BLM
d) RDM
e) THF

3) Are these in the correct order of toughness?
Easy Prey->Descent Challenge->Even Match->Tough

Thanks

I think the maps are purchased in the little tents inside your own hometown.

I don't know much of the macros, but I will give you some on WAR.

for provoke, you'll need this:

/p Provoking <t>!
/ja "Provoke" <t>

(you may not need the exclamation points, but I use them anywar)

Also, as for most other jobs, you need the TP report

/p My Tp: <tp>

Hope that helps! Good luck!

It was a long time ago, but I think i started with the map. Dont quote me on this one, but your hometown map is free. There are map seller stalls around for extra areas like the Maze, just do a shout and someone will show you.

2) What are the ESSENTIAL macros for the following classes for use in the first 10 levels

a) WAR

/ja "Provoke" <t> if thats how it goes

/ws "Insertyourweaponofchoiceswshere" <t>

b) MNK

/ja "Boost" <me>

/ws "Combo" <t>

c) BLM

/ma "Insertspellsyoulikehere" <t>

(These should include all elemental spells and a few of your favourite enfeebs)

d) RDM

/ma "Important spells here" <stpc / t>

For curative spells , use the stpc command to cycle through your party.

Enfeebs like Dia, Blind and Elementals like Stone and Water also need to be here.

e) THF

/ws "Wasp Sting" <t>

If your using a dagger (which you shouldnt be using once its capped anyway).

I was rather lazy in my Macros, but you get the idea, im sure some other hyper active member will post every macro you will ever need.

3) yes, you are correct...

Easy prey < Decent Challenge < Even Match < Tough < Very Tough < Incredibly Tough < Strength is impossible to gauge
