Its a good thing you're an artist and not a writer your grammar and spelling is horrendous. An artist shouldn't need to see others work, he should be good enough on his own, thats why the company hires him. So you are looking for artists, for a leading japanese corpartion(corporation) in Australia? Why didn't ya say that in the first thread...Why just Mithras and female Humes? The pay is quite substantial and also this comic will not only b released in Japan an actual manga will b formed. I have 4 days left to hire a partner. You can't be serious... First of all, it was an asinine request. Then in a futile attempt to make it seem valid, he claims that he is actually working (obviously undercover) for a "major corpartion in japan"which is based out of Australia, apparently.

Just because you feel pity for someone's stupidity, doesn't mean it's ok for them to bother the rest of the population. By doing this, we help (in a small way) prevent such requests.

In the end, I wonder what is wrong with asking for a sexy picture of a Hume or Mithra? I mean... Being an artist I get requests all the time for hentai pictures and the like... But at this point in my life I seen no reason to harrass someone. I mean, there are alot of social taboos in our society, and unfortunately sexually explicit photography or art is very high on that list. Alot of other nations are MUCH less uptight about sexuality in general and I just have to wonder why you all make such a large deal over this person's simple request. A sexy picture. It doesnt mean he was asking for hentai. YES he could have worded it a little less... lude... but thats no reason to start this whole thing up. I posted my pic because I was humoring him and everyone else. (as Im sure you could tell in my comment.)

And YES I believe it was rather silly of him to pose all the ideas that he did to cover up this situation... But let me ask you this... Would he have felt the urge to do that if you had just let him be and posted your artworks of an attractive female? Maybe I misread, but last time I checked he just wanted a picture of a sexy girl in a nice pose.

Whatever reason he wanted it for is his business, to delve deeper into his psyche to figure out why he wants it and harrass him for it is what makes you all the bad people in this thread, not him.

Ok, here we go... Time to break this down and see what he is asking:
"Any good artist" - Ok, he has addressed an audience.

"plz send Mithra or Hume famale." - He has made his request.

"Must be in good pose plz." - That part borders questionable methods, but as far as artwork goes I see nothing wrong with asking for the picture to be in a good pose. I mean... there are alot of horrible pictures that were ruined by the pose that the artist was unable to pull off effectively.

But I still see nothing in the above quote that could NOT be taken as a simple request. Because of people's over suggestive immaginations we have turned this (probably) lying kid who wants a pic into a perverted hentai seeking freak.

I can and will draw a picture that meets his request while keeping within rules of posting. That way you can see that there are other ways to fight battles besides resorting to little trivial things such as name calling and making fun of grammar.

I doubt the :p that he had done was ment to be a graphic representation. The java interprets : p as :p and the initial interpritation of : p was more of like a *sigh* or as this site has it :rolleyes:.

Honestly I wouldn't doubt a publishing place being somewere outside of Japan and still being called Manga. The simple fact that really classifies Manga as Manga now is the art style and storyline. You look at an American comic and Manga and the two are very noticably different.

As far as the "good pose plz." it may seem border line but in order to really understand that phrase you'd have to know that person (Which I doubt any of you here do). That phrase being missinterprited as something bad when it can just as well be interpreted as something of good intent.

Nothing about his original message really indicates to him having good or bad intentions. "Sexy pose" can be done quite well without the art having to be nude and in some sort of perverted manner. As well as the "Good pose" part can also lean more to the latter intent of it not being nude or perverted.

His initial sentence had neither good nor bad intentions in it. So it would of been wiser to first get more info to what exactly he ment by his initial sentence and to get the intent of why he wanted it. Instead of jumping to a premature conclusion which I've seen so many people do way to often.

Flat out, THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TAKING A JUST MEANINGFUL ACTION AND AN IRRATIONAL ONE!! So please think first before you decide to persacute someone.

For all you sick minded fools heres your answer to why i said sexy and good pose. My name is Shoki Watanabe i have been working for Fun. Inc for 6 years. I would of liked a picture of a female which was not fat, ugly "Sexy" nothing actually to do with hientai and for the "Good pose" part it was meant as a fighting stance or sitting. something with style and creativity. There is a businness which goes by the name of Mistrigu Corparation. They are starting a small manga production office in Australia. They have been hiring workers for 4 months now and you had to submit a comic. Which i based off the final fantasy series. My comic was made and showed to the Mistrigu Corparation it was scraped. This is the comment i got back

"The style of Manga was americanized but had traditional style of reading a manga comic. Story was involved in the main character too much. The characters where portrayed in a very well thought out manner. Kibitsu (women) showed barely any signs of japenese manga or any real significance in the main plot"

Okay so I've been watching this little debacle and for one thought it was a funny request, but then when it was followed by a series of highly doubtful comments, man, I just had to jump in.

So I did a few searches on the info presented by Mellowfudgie.

1) A quick search through the Australian Whitepages (http://www.whitepages.com.au) has no listings for a company named Fun Inc. anywhere in Australia. In fact, a search of the web for "Fun Inc" revealed only one similar case, a chain of Magic Card resellers by the name of Mr. Fun, Inc in Ohio.

2) Another search reveals that there is also no such Corporation named "Mistrigu", let alone the fact (previously mentioned by TakeshiEiketsu) that you can't even naturally say this word in Japanese. It looks like the name "Mitsurugi" put into a word jumble.

Now for my own observations...

So why then is the tune changed to "They have been hiring workers for 4 months now and you had to submit a comic."? So you're working for them (in a position to pay others for their work no less!), and then you're not. Wha? Somehow I doubt a person in such a position would post on a FFXI message board representing an actual company.

"Kibitsu (women) showed barely any signs of japenese manga" ... What is this, an ailment? I think he meant "woman" (I'm assuming Kibitsu is supposed to be the name of a character?). For a professional response, it sure sounds unprofessional. Actually, for a guy looking for a professional drawing of a "sexy" character why not just search the net? It's not like there aren't hundreds of examples out there. Oh, and a little note here, for someone with such poor spelling and grammar it is very hard to believe they actually wrote a story to be handed in professionally (although that's why there are editors, right?).

Then, to justify the existance of this manga sample that was supposedly already made, he attaches a 0K Blank BMP File. I'm assuming he found some sort of Final Fantasy Fan Art site and tried to save the pic in his browser only for it to save as BMP instead of JPG and not retain the data, and then without checking it hastily posted it to the boards. What does this say? That's right, unprofessional.

I just don't understand why people feel the need to, once falsities are pointed out, continue adding to the pile and in turn make themselves look like bigger idiots (or should I say, fools? :p). Until some refutable evidence is presented I remain skeptical. :rolleyes:
