I know this Topic has already been discussed.
I just wanted to let you know that yesterday for the first time when I casted raise on someone my skill rose.
And it was my healing skill.
So I am going to try out my raise next time with divine seal just for fun. Maybe it's worth anything.
If you don't believe me that it is in fact healing skill and not any other skill (as I believed it was) I can post a screenshot tonight.

For a real test you would need somebody to sacrifice him/herself so you know the exactly amount of exp he/she had before the raise.

we can try when you hit lvl 50 and can not lvl anymore :p
Well maybe I will find someone willing to take this sacrifice in the name of science!

My healing skill has gone up often while casting raises, but it still only affects the Cure/Curaga series and not raise. A lot of experiments have been made already.

Ill most likely make my fat Galka Mule (lvl 12 Warrior) available for these tests

-If- you want to experiment, you need somebody willing to die without a raise first. This is to get the amount of exp lost without a raise correct.
This is something that a lot of people look over. When it took me 7800 or 7700 to level (can't remember exactly) I got screwed up twice. Without gaining exp between the raise and the death and homepointing. My seach comment still had my old exp. I lost 1052 exp from the sets of deaths. According to all sources I've seen, raise recovers 25% of the exp lost back.
If it took me 7800 to level, I should have lost 1365 exp.
If it took me 7700 to level, I should have lost 1347.5 exp.
And for kicks, 7600 would have been 1330 exp lost.
Now, don't get annoyed if you already know this, but it just seems that a lot of people don't notice that you loose less exp when you die at higher levels. (Well, less exp as in a lower % of exp.)

this chart at the bottom of this page: http://www.shadow-dragons.com/jobs.htm

Let it be known, again, the Divine Seal will only effect the power of a Cure spell.
Even the icon that appears on your screen that shows like an Attack UP tells you that Divine Seal enhance the power of your next Cure.
~_~ so much for ingenuity....

Poisona raises healing skill too.... highly unlikely that DS does anything for Poisona though ^^

Its not just the newbies you need to watch for.
I had a pointless debacle of a conversation with a guy on Siren who at level 40ish should have know better. He insisted that Divine Seal + Raise recovered more EXP to the point of him actually getting angry at my apparent arrogance at not accepting his truth. Needless to say I made my polite excuses and left the party.
