Just a curiosity... is there a preference atm for off tank in PT's? When I say off tank I mean someone to take a few hits while a thief does Sneak... Trick attack to help set up initial hate.... So would it be just a Damage Dealer? or a War... with Ninja Subed for that one blink hit? or .....?
From my experience, any job that has a war sub is ok. Even jobs with low defence such as RNG can be such a tank if the people involved in fuidama are doing it well.
War sub is for provoke and defender, the first to hold the hate more easily, and the 2nd to minimise the damage taken.
Personally I have no preference, it comes down to a certain amount of skill too. I had a samurai/warrior be an off tank (first time I've heard this term ^^;;). By rights he should be quite a good one because of high HP and good def, but he was a newbie to fuidama (even at level 63 <.<) and kept losing hate/moving about/didn't understand how trick+sneak works. On the other hand I once partied with a RNG/WAR who did the job really well. He often required a cure 3 or 4 after the whole fuidama thing was over but by then the THF's Dancing Edge put so much hate on me that the cure3/4 didn't do anything.
