why does my def. suck

Hello,

I've been reading around a lot of posts here I see people talking about their defense at lv50 being 500+ ??

Why does mine suck? I am a hume/pld lv50 and here are my stats:

sword: tactician magician espadon
royal knight shield
iron muskateer helm
iron muskateer body
iron muskateer hands
iron muskateer legs
iron muskateer feet
spehne ring
swordbelt
raptor mantle
tiger stole
wing earing
wing earing

my def, with protect III is 299. With sentinel 343. With all and defender 380 or so...wtf is going on?

should be def. really be 500 at lv50? ive tested it with other pld and we both get hit for around same dmg, so hwo the hell is their def 500?

Yeah you must have misunderstood. I dont think thats possible. The only thing I can think of is that they are Galka and have more VIT. If you have pretty up-to-date armor, there shouldnt be that much a difference. Eventually in your 50's you can get it that high, but not right at 50.

299 is not bad for a 50 hume pld. Those 500 def figures are with defender fishkabobs and sentinel ^^. Try it again with those.

Friend of mine got like 560 def or something at 52..using Defender/Sentinel/Fishkabobs/whatever the bard DEF song is called. Not exactly consistant DEF 100% of the time ;p

What you listed seems standard of level 50ish PLD and is pretty ok.
