I was talking with my 2 high lvl friends (both 75 and yes only 2) and they were telling me how i should go into ghelsba or giddius or the mine in north gate, make a LONGG chain + circle blade and i would get alot of gill for my armor i need (they refuse to lend me some even though they'll do the trade menu and show me how they have over 100k)

does anyone know if this tatic is effective? and if so a place to do it?

(also they embatzhed on how u should go to a place where like low lvl armor's are dropped cause u can sell them for preety good gill)

thanks in advance

i'd imagine it would be very similar to a blm's mob train and AE spell. i can normally get up to 20 2nd tier quadavs (greater, veteran, onyx) in palborough w/ no probs, losing about 1/2 my life in the process but it normally kicks out 700-800g (sub thf for gilfinder) per train so its not that bad...but not extraordinarily good either. you also occasionally get drops like armor and stuff which sells to npcs for around 200-300g.

if you want, you could do this with the 1st tier quadavs (young, amber, amethyst) for much less gil (20 quadav train, 300-500g) but you get quadav backplates, which sell for ~500-1k gil @ the AH (varies from AH to AH). the good thing is they sell VERY fast. now, using circle blade is a great way to deal AE damage for farming, but if your profile is correct, you won't get it for another 25 levels.

Exercise extreme caution when doing this.

seeing as my circle blade does 30-50 damage on a Rumble Crawler, how much will it do to quadav trains? I hope they die in one hit, but i'll have to test it out.

trust me, u'll have absolutely no trouble killing those things with circle blade...just remember, rumble crawlers have quite a bit more defense than level 11-20 quadavs. also, if i, a blm, was able to take out huge mobs of quadavs at ~level 40, a 49 pld should have no trouble whatsoever. also remember that with a mob that big, building tp should be absolutely no prob...as blm, i had 200-300% tp after i finished off a mob...and i didn't melee even once.

with pld def, u probably wouldn't take much damage anyway, and believe it or not casting spells while getting pounded like that is quite easy, so u could cure yourself if something goes wrong....lastly, if a circle blade doesn't finish off the mob, just stand there for a while (or hit stuff) til 100% tp and do it again. you prolly wouldn't wanna sub sam for this, since the idea is to maximize gil and a /thf would do just fine.

PLD don't get circle blade until LVL 49...

....thats what i said....

well, not quite...but 24 + 25 = 49

anyways, i highly recommend that you NOT try those quadavs at level 33...it might even be dangerous to try the 2nd tier ones. if you do so, do so in moderation and limit yourself to 10 or so (2nd tier) quadavs. i'm sure a pld would be more resilient, but some of those 3rd tier quadavs would still be easy prey to you...and a big mob of easy prey is bad news. besides, when they're all spawned, there's maybe...10 of them...
