Instrument Locations

I'm sure this has been posted before, but does someone have a running thread or site listing where to find the different instruments? And how one gets say the +1 instruments?

Needless to say, I went to AH, and was saddened to see every instrument that had any sort of bonus to it, was all over 20k. And further, it wasn't even for sale if I had the money to begin with.

Or, maybe Kujata just has too many bards, and they're hoggin all the equipment! :D

Generally every instrument is quested or crafted. A few exceptions would be the Mary's Horn (+1 Lullaby) from Stray Mary, the Gemshorn (+1 Mambo) in the Bastok Bard shoppe, and I think I hear that the Cornette comes from some Mandragoras in West Sarbaturaudasdofhias (sp!). Generally though, if you see a weapon that has a +1 alternative (Horn, Horn +1, etc), then it is a crafted item.

Interesting. What crafting skill goes into an instrument? I'm guessing woodworking? And with the exception of Mary's Horn, I'm further guessing that say a Cornette +1 is not dropped (Cornette does drop in Sarubuta) but is it crafted from a Cornette?

i sort of stalled on my Bard info sheet after putting all the song information down.

you can see i put a prelimenary list of instruments down there, but its far from complete^^ and i need to add alot more info :sweat:
