Some info on Impulse Drive..

I was bored as hell waiting for a coffer to spawn in Boyahda yesterday, so I asked my Japanese fluent friend to bug a high level dragoon about impulse drive. The person was pretty friendly and answered that Impulse does look cool, but it's average damage is 400-500 on level up stuff. Not bad, I guess. Then another LS member who wanted to know about Spiral Hell asked a Drk about it.. and the Drk said it does around 400-500 damage also, with 100 TP. At 300 TP, it does around 1500 :sweat: He also said that some quest WSes are not meant to be big damage dealers, but more of a means to do consistent damage on any level of monster. So... yeah. Personally, I'd like it if Impulse did more, but... that's the life of a Dragoon, I guess :P

Got it last night, rather distressed at the damage it does, but I don't think I have done it with food and minuet on. Base damage seems to be 250-300 if both hits connect. I'm stuck with lvl 60 lance still, so I'm weak. Will post more when I get my Gae Bolg

Target enemy: Sauromugue Taber Beaks.
Base Attack is 339, using lvl 60 Lance because people were too lazy to fight Vouivre last night(bitter). No food, no Minuet.
101-105% TP in all cases, all hits connecting where applicable.

Double Thrust: 246
Ashibarai/Leg Trip: 232
Penta: 886 (lol....)
Skewer: 654
Daisharin: 234
Impulse Drive: 466

In Sea Grotto on raku Sahagins at 300%, no food no minu, it hit 566, so it's not really a hopeless WS, especially for the Dark renkei possibilities.

Don't really plan on leveling until I have a Gae Bolg and my BRD wins Genkai 5, but will post those results when I do.

Eh.. it's definitely not as good as I was expecting, but it doesn't sound too bad, and looks damn cool. It'd be interesting to see damage with a thief sub (considering the massive boost WSes such as cross reaper and spinslash (I think?) get from it).

maybe it has some neat Renkei patterns it starts or is a part of? that may be it's true use.
