Can double thrust have one of its attkc miss?

Can double thrust and penta thrust miss at all.... i mean like 1 of the two attacks miss?? And that means its 2 attacks, or 5 attacks hence getting 20% TP or 50% tp back...right?

ya and if you are really unlucky both of double can miss, and all 5 of penta can miss =P

Has there been a new patch or something 'cos the last time I checked Double Thrust is described as a twofold attack which cannot miss, i.e is guaranteed to hit.
I heard penta can miss but no my old faithful. I am a lvl 18WAR/MNK and my double has NEVER missed and I have no enhancing DEX or Acc items.

yes it can miss at lvl 3 when you get it but its unlikely till you start fighting higher IT stuff

Do double thrust give 2 invidvidual dmg message or one? I use it often but only see one message. As i usully do little dmg i figured i missed one of the 2 attack. But last nite, i hit 2 time in less then 5 min for big dmg -> 224 and 232 <- i was like wow that sooooo nice, don't need to tell you the mob was pretty mad at me =). So after last nite i presume you get only 1 dmg message, i am right?

It only shows up as one damage and as far as I know short of being out of range it can't miss. I never have.

I've missed both hits before, and I have also only hit the monster once before.
I got only 10% TP back, and the WS did less damage than my normal attack :mad:

I've actually had Double Thrust hit 3-4 times before. 0.o Seriously. I don't know what happened. It showed that animation 3-4 times and the damage was alot bigger too. This ever happen to anyone else before? Maybe it was just a weird glitch.

well if you are 25+war you could have gotten a double attack on both of them but thats pretty rare and i doubt it would double the animation. i sometimes get a 72 TP penta and iknow i got a double attack off during it but i dont see an extra animation. it was probably just a glitch

Yea 1 of 2 Double Thrust can miss. You notice this when you get 10% or 12% (depending on if you're using a Spear or a Lance). There have been times I've gotten 36% back because of the Double Attack trait a WAR sub has given me.

Penta misses. TP for full penta is 60% (not 50... you really shouldn't use a Spear at that level.. Lance better dmg). But on some high evasion mobs I'll be getting 48% (49% with my new lance.. Darksteel... seems to add 1% to the final blow of a ws..) back on return.

I've missed a full Penta twice in 60 levels. Both times I wanted to cry T_T ... but I have gotten 86% return a few times with Penta and was able to finish out with Jumps and self-chain ^^
