Ok, I think this has been asked before but not with my ideas so asking again...
If you have two computers, but only one set of cds... Can you use virtual drive or some program like that to put an image of the cds on the 2nd comp and play with two differet login accounts???
Or maybe map the drive to the first comp's cd rom or someother thing like that????
Thanks in advance for you help... :handsdown

Huh?
Why do you want to put an image on the secont computer? Just install the game - patch and play with your second account.
A Image of the first computer on the second would maybe make sense so you dont need to patch. But why do you want to image the CDs?

The game installs onto the computer (takes up around 6GB's worth of space) so you don't actually run the game off the cd's.
You can install the game onto as many computers as you like, BUT you can only play one at a time. So you can't have your friend playing FFXI at the same time as you unless he bought his own copy.
Simple answer is no, and there's no way to get around it.

Not an image of the computer, an image of the cds.. Virtual drive and programs like it make a fake cd-rom. Then you use it to basicly copy a cd to a file that runs off the fake cd-rom. For your computer and the games you play it comes up as a real cd-rom. It actualy adds a drive to your computer. So it makes no difference what computer would have the images of cd on it.
So.....You have two have 2 cd keys and 2 logings...Well...
Does anyone know if you can just buy another cd key without having to buy two copies of the game???
Again, Thanks in advance

Most software companies allow you to do that but you need to e-mail them directly.

Damn I wish there was an edit command.
Keep in mind though that the price you're paying is MOSTLY for the license of the software. The CD itself isn't all that expensive. I guarantee that each box of FFXI that you buy the packaging cost and CD costs including bulk shipping are under 3 dollars. Don't expect a big discount or anything.

You can easily install the same game on two or several computers without using any special software simulating a CD-drive. But then you need to create an account, and you only have 1 registration key code, so you can create only one single account. And whenever you try to log on with the same account on a second computer, you get kicked out of the game on your first computer. Believe me, I tried.
Only way to get two copies of the game running at the same time would be to buy 2 games and open 2 accounts.
