Blood Katana

Hey guys, im a little new to the 3D art program Maya v. 4.5 and I want to start making the weapons of FFXI starting with a Great Katana. Took me about a hour and a helf to get everything perfect.

oh and please excuse the gigantic lettering, I am currently using maya 4.5 personal learning edition so i cant make any money off of it.

the blades a little too long and rod shaped...if it was a little sharper onn the graphics it'd be great...but so far so good

note:the red bolts of what looks like lightening's a great touch

I will post another versoin of it as soon as my brother gets off my computer, which is the only computer in the house with maya, and he is on ffxi currently so when i get a chance ill post a clear pic of it:)

Scary! That looks almost exactly like the katana that I use for Kendo! Wow, very nice! Much better than what I could do. Keep it up!

^^; you want to show the sword right? I'd try not to put anything so much, they will distract the viewer from actually looking at the sword.

I think will look cool if you move camera more to the side and look at the sword which is stab into the ground making a crusifix shape ;)
