Monster Drops: (equipment, weapons, and rings)

One thing I haven't heard anything about is monster drops.

Do they drop specific job equipment or weapons?
Or do they only drop rings and accesories?

I heard they drop crystals if you pay someone to enchant you.

What are is the drop rate for these things?
Does it take like 100 kills or more to find the rarest drop on them?
