Thread says AGI doesn't raise ranged acc

Someone has talked to several high level japanese and they say that Dex is ranged acc and Agi is melee acc. Anyone have a retort? I just want to make sure I'm upping the right stat.

I dunno what those JPs had hit their head against, one to many HNMs maybe?...
Anyways, it's the complete opposite, and has always been. (AGI=ranged accuracy & evasion, DEX=melee accuracy & critical rate)
