WHM after 40?

someone i know who is a high level bard and enjoys partying with jp told me they dont like WHM's they prefer a bard with redmage because of refresh.
is this true and WHM really arent wanted in high level partys?

absolutely not. the protectra series alone is enough reason to make a WHM a necessity in parties, no matter what level. and at high levels especially, youre definitely going to want a WHM with raise ii or iii around. theres also the ever useful regen series and teleport spells.

Agree. But a redmage with refresh and or a redmage in group is essential. We started out yesterday without supporter and it was bad exp (killing flys in crawlers nest). Then, over time we got a bard and a redmage. We changed to these agro lizards deeper in and the only thing that stopped out chain was that there where no more lizards around. Awesome mana flow with refresh manasong and food effekt :biggrin:

But:

A White mage is no longer a must for a group (a Bard and a redmage can fill that hole with ease). But no job in FFXI is a must (what i think is a good thing). But to have a raise at your side is a thing of feelgood :).

At higher levels, a RDM and Bard can replace a WHM. But I don't like grouping with RDMs, so I gladly keep my WHM around :D
