My first screenies

Heya guys i just started to play FFXI ... Its been one week now and i took alot of screenshots so ill begin posting some when I have time . Enjoy ^_^

For the first one its my new char at very low lvl ( I dont remember what lvl) standing in a nice scenery in north gustaberg and you see Draetchenfall ( waterfall ) behind him

Can you move around when you are in battle mode? In that screen shot it looks like you are behind that turtle thingy, if you can move around does it cause the enemies to miss?

Is it going to be the old Final Fantasy attack system where you click attack and pick your attack or do you push different buttons for different attacks and so forth?:confused:

Yeah, you can move around, but it won't cause
the ennemies to miss. It's just if you wanna escape
a battle at anytime.

Because Random ennemy encounters aren't in FFXI, you
just run up to an ennemy, target it, and then the battle
menu pops up like in the other final fantasy games.

With commands like "Attack", "Magic", "Item" ect.

Maybe I just got really lucky, but i remember trying that theory last night while fighting an Orcish Grunt. I was running around him and was pretty much behind him the whole time. The strange thing that i noticed was that he infact DID miss... ALOT... more than any fight i had been in before that. I doubt it was due to me being stronger as he was still a Decent Challenge. Now, it probably doesnt help to run around it, and I probably was just excessively lucky... but Intstances like that can proove to confuse someone who is wondering about that theory... Like mio!

Wow, thats the first tremor ram ive ever seen, wicked.

...lol I just gotta edit and say that does not look like a possible enemy.. its front part is way to big for its little hind legs :p
