As an old EQ player, im guessing bard's Cha affects resist rates of spells like lullaby and charm. But i heard that in FFXI, bard's cha also affects:
Duration of Songs
Effectiveness of songs (high cha gives more stats bonus)
Resist of debuffs and sonic dmg songs
Are the above correct?
Thanks

Duration of song: I haven't noticed an effect iwht my CHR and song time that much at all, if any.
Effectiveness of songs: Depends. When I have my +CHR equipment on, all my songs that give things like +STR, or +DEF, etc. do more with my higher CHR.
With my CHR equipment off, they deal quite a bit less.
Resist of debuff: I'd say yes, mostly with sleep songs - not very much with the rest of your songs, most of the time you won't have a problem getting those accepted.

Im currently wearing mana gears when Pting, to help out as a backup healer. Now that I know cha increases effectiveness of buff songs, i'll probably go for cha now :)

Its sad to say this but.. CHR does not affect the effectiveness of stats boosting songs. :(

Correct. Charisma ONLY effects Requiem, Threnody, Lullaby, and Elegy -- In terms of duration and resistances. But it's enough to require your constant purchasing of equipment to increase it, since if you can't land any of those songs effectively, you're a waste of a group spot.
